Powerful storm Krosa lashes Japan, more than 500,000 warned to evacuate

Powerful tropical storm Krosa made landfall in Japan’s prefecture of Hiroshima, with gusts of wind lashing at 126km/h. An 82-year-old man died after he fell into the sea as he was mooring his boat. At least 21 people have sustained injuries related to the storm. It is predicted that Krosa could dump up to a thousand millimetres of rain in just 24 hours as it moves northwards.
