Japan gives green light to ship second batch of key tech material to Samsung

The Japanese government has given the green light to ship a second batch of key tech material to South Korea’s Samsung Electronics. The material cleared for export is photoresist, which Samsung uses for chip-making and it is vital to the company’s supply chain. This batch provides six months worth of the material for the electronics giant. However, South Korea has downplayed the move, warning that “uncertainties” will remain until Japan removes all export controls.
