Japan commissions first submarine running on lithium-ion batteries
On March 5, 2020, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) commissioned its 11th Soryu-class diesel-electric attack submarine (SSK) in Kobe in Hyogo Prefecture.
